“I definitely do not get enough sleep. I feel like a completely different person when it’s close to deadlines because I’m not thinking with a clear head,” Pool said. “Sometimes I get minor panic attacks because it all gets too much and I can’t cope with it. I also get stomach cramps."
“I cope with stress by forcing myself to sit down, write a list of everything I have to do and then jut crack on,” second-year maths student Hanne Nilsen said. “I am often stressed, and it also helps working with a friend so we can motivate each other and take breaks together.”
“Usually I just watch Netflix in bed when I’m stressed. It relaxes me and forgets my worries. It also helps to make exciting plans for the near future that I can look forward to, for example a trip to London with friends,” second year psychology student Ingvild Fjeldstad said.
"My initial instinct is to say that I do not cope with stress well at all, but then I have to look back and realize that somehow I must be because I am still here. I’m still completing all my projects and to a good standard as well,” Pool said. “I have to keep reminding myself that what I am doing is good and if it’s my best than it is also good enough.”
