A new study claiming people should eat 10 fruit and vegetables a day has received mixed feelings from Kingston students, and some thinks it is “not realistic”. |
“Fruit and vegetables, especially fruit, is expensive and doesn't last long,” Jodie Wonford, a second-year illustration student, said. “I don't have time to prepare that much fruit and veg throughout the day or go shopping frequently to buy fresh fruit.”
“It is not realistic as fresh fruit and veg can become very expensive, especially when on a budget,” Chewter, first-year Radiology student, said. “Students can of course eat cheaper alternatives such as frozen fruit & veg, however being on a budget there are other foods such as breakfast and basic foods that students will prioritize.”
